La Paz, Bolivia - The Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (Tika) and the Turkish Embassy in Bolivia made a significant donation to the Bolivian Food Bank in the city of La Paz.
The donation took place on November 30 and included a truck, canners, scales, plastic baskets and platforms, important materials that will allow the Food Bank to expand its operations and reach more people in the cities of La Paz and El Alto.
The director of Banco de Alimentos de Bolivia, Nicole Guerrero Ruiz, expressed her gratitude, stating: “This donation marks the beginning of a crucial expansion that will allow us to consistently serve more people in vulnerable situations nationwide”.
Over the next three years, the Food Bank of Bolivia's goal is to serve more than 20,000 beneficiaries every month in La Paz and El Alto.
“Our dream is growing, and when large companies and organizations like Tika join us, it becomes more and more tangible,” said Nicole Guerrero Ruiz during the donation event.
The event was attended by the national director of the Graduate School of Univalle, representatives of both institutions, Bank volunteers and beneficiaries of the Villa Exaltación Church of the Nazarene, which is served by the Food Bank of Bolivia.
This collaboration between Tika, the Turkish Embassy in Bolivia and the Bolivian Food Bank demonstrates the transformative power of joining international efforts for solidarity and sustainable development in Bolivia.
